The Academy’s global health portfolio includes education, training and program implementation; working directly with our members and partner pediatric societies; and advocating to the US government and global multi-lateral organizations to advance the health and well-being of all children, adolescents and young adults.
What We Do
Programs
The Academy’s global health programs support capacity building and improved engagement of child health providers as well as offer clinical skills development. Implementation programs are primarily grant-funded.
Sections
The Academy provides its Section members a platform for professional development and international networking.
Advocacy
The AAP’s commitment to improving the lives of children goes beyond our borders. The AAP advocates directly to the U.S. government and globally through international organizations for policies and programs that will help all children reach their full potential.
