The Pediatric Artifact Collection was started when Dr. Robert D. Gauchat donated his personal collection to the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1973. With important additions over the years from Dr. Morris Price, Dr. Larrie Sarff, and Dr. Darroll J. Erickson the collection now holds over 1,500 artifacts related to the history and evolution of infant nutrition, child care, and pediatric medicine.
