Overview
Since 1989, the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP) has supported innovative, community-based interventions to improve maternal and child health and access to care. The HTPCP is a public-private partnership between the Health Resource and Services Administration's (HRSA) Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), combining the HRSA resources with the AAP's pediatric expertise in child health issues to support HTPCP projects.
The purpose of the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program (HTPCP) is to support community-based projects that promote access to preventive clinical and public health services for children.
The HTPCP projects will:
- Implement an evidence-informed or evidence-based preventive clinical or public health community-based project.
- Build or strengthen partnerships with maternal and child health (MCH) programs.
- Engage people with lived experience in the advisory board and project activities.
- Develop a sustainability plan to support lasting MCH population health improvements.

88% of all Healthy Tomorrows projects were fully or partially sustained five or more years after federal funding ended.
The Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children program is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), a Federal agency. HRSA does not engage in advocacy on behalf of its grantees. It supports community health and advocacy efforts of grantees on behalf of the children, families, and communities they serve.
