W. Robert Morrow, MD, FAAP is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a former President and Chief Clinical Officer at Children’s Health, Dallas, TX. He also served Chief Medical Officer and Cardiology Section Chief at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Dr Morrow served as Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery from 2010-2014 and is current co-chair of the section’s Policy and Advocacy Work Group. As Chair of the Section, Dr Morrow spearheaded the publication of many guidelines and policy statements including screening for complex cyanotic congenital heart disease, medical devices in children, and sudden cardiac death in children. He is also a former cardiology section editor for AAP Grand Rounds. Dr Morrow has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, 16 book chapters, and is a past associate editor for the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and Congenital Heart Disease.
