The Committee on Philanthropy's mission is to educate AAP members about the transformative power of philanthropy to enhance the health and well-being of infants, children, teens, and young adults, and advance the field of pediatrics.
Vision
The Committee on Philanthropy envisions an AAP where a vibrant culture of philanthropy fuels remarkable advancements in children's health and well-being while empowering and supporting its dedicated members.
Objectives
- Promote a culture of philanthropy among the Academy’s members while ensuring that opportunities are built on inclusion, transparency, empowerment, collaboration, and celebration.
- Educate members on topics relevant to philanthropy, such as:
- How to be an impactful philanthropist
- Creative approaches to philanthropy
- Current trends in giving
- Raise awareness of the Academy’s charitable programs and their impact.
