COQIPS Membership Criteria

Council membership is open to the following member types: ​

• Associate Members
• Candidate Members
• Corresponding Fellows
• Fellows
• Fellowship Trainees
• Honorary Fellows
• International Members
• Medical Students
• National Affiliates
• Resident Members
• Senior Members
• Specialty Fellows

Dues/year:

Medical Students, Residents and Fellowship Trainees - $0*
All other National member types - $25*
Council Affiliates: Member Professional - $50
Non-Professional - $0

* In addition to national dues

Special Requirements: Membership entails an active involvement or interest in quality improvement, and/or patient safety.

National AAP members

All National members must submit a signed disclosure statement.

Council affiliate membership

1. Parents, patient guardians, or foster parents who are interested in contributing toward the mission, vision, and values of the Council.
2. Patients 16 years of age or older who are interested in contributing toward the mission, vision, and values of the Council.
3. Physicians who otherwise would not be eligible for membership within the AAP who have relevant experience and are interested in contributing toward the mission, vision, and values of the Council.
4. Other professionals who are not eligible for membership within the AAP who have relevant experience and are interested in contributing toward the mission, vision, and values of the Council.

Affiliates must submit:

1. One letter of support from a Fellow or Specialty Fellow who is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
2. Signed disclosure statement.
