SODBP partners with AAP and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to develop a live course on developmental-behavioral pediatrics that has historically been held every 2 years. The course is designed to be an intensive review and update for both primary care pediatricians and subspecialists. The 2024 course date is expected to be announced soon.
The SODBP has partnered with the Council on Children with Disabilities (COCWD) to host “Virtual Office Hours” events aimed toward pediatric trainees and early career physicians. The SODBP will jointly host these events about twice a year with COCWD on topics of mutual interest to both groups. Each event consists of 1 to 2 experts presenting a 15-minute didactic presentation, followed by 15 minutes for interactive discussion and networking. Registration is open to everyone. Links to archived content can be found on the COCWD AAP.org webpage under “Educational Opportunities.”
The AAP National Conference & Exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for SODBP members to network and learn about the latest in a wide array of pediatric care topics relevant to development and behavior. Each year, the SODBP proposes and sponsors a variety of sessions on the topics most important to section membership. The SODBP also hosts an educational program with a business meeting. Every other year, the educational program is hosted jointly with the Council on Children with Disabilities. View more details about the AAP National Conference & Exhibition.
