Dr. David Kaufman is a neonatologist and professor of pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He has focused much of his research on the prevention and treatment of neonatal infections, designing and conducting randomized controlled trials, most notably his studies demonstrating the efficacy and safety of fluconazole prophylaxis in the NICU. Dr. Kaufman has chaired the Neonatal Sepsis Club at the Annual Pediatrics Societies’ Meeting since 2003 and is a member of the Committee of the Fetus and Newborn (COFN) of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Prabi Rajbhandari, MD, FAAP

Dr. Prabi Rajbhandari is a pediatric hospitalist and the Director of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program at Akron Children’s. She also serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Her clinical and academic interests include high-value care, the care of culturally and linguistically diverse patients, improvement science and quality improvement initiatives.
