Munoz, MD, MSc, FAAP, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Molecular Virology and Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine and Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, TX. She is a member of the AAP Committee on Infectious Diseases (COID), the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) influenza working group, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) Immunization Expert Group.

Brenda Poindexter, MD, MS, FAAP, is Chief of the Division of Neonatology at Emory University and System Medical Director for Neonatology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Brenda has spent most of her career leading multicenter clinical trials for the NICHD Neonatal Research Network. Her specific interests relate to neonatal nutrition and growth and neurodevelopmental outcomes of high-risk premature infants. She is co-editor of Nutritional Care of Preterm Infants, a book that serves as a practical resource for neonatologists and nutritionists. She is passionate about mentoring and removing barriers for women in leadership in academic medicine. She has four daughters and is also a proud grandmother of a preemie.
