Nathaniel Beers, MD, MPA, FAAP, is the president at The HSC Health Care System. He has served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Specialized Instruction, and Executive Director for Early Stages in the Office of Special Education in DC Public Schools since 2009.
Nathaniel is a past president of the DC Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was also the Chair of the AAP National Committee on Membership. He serves on the executive committee of the AAP Council of School Health and serves in a variety of other roles for the AAP, both regionally and nationally.

Szu-Ta Chen, MD, PhD, MPH, is pediatric gastroenterologist by training and a physician scientist focusing on clinical and epidemiological research. Dr. Chen earned his medical degree and PhD from National Taiwan University. He earned his MPH degree from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and then conducted post-doctoral research with Professor Sonia Hernandez-Diaz at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
