NRP 9th Edition Launching in October 2025!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates about the future of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). As leaders in neonatal resuscitation education, your dedication ensures that newborns worldwide receive the best possible care. Here’s what’s coming in 2025:

NRP 9th Edition Launching Fall 2025

The NRP 9th Edition will debut in Fall 2025, aligning with the publication of the latest American Heart Association (AHA) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Guidelines. The updated edition will integrate cutting-edge research and best practices, ensuring that NRP continues to set the standard for evidence-based neonatal resuscitation training.

The program is developed by leading experts in neonatology, pediatrics, and resuscitation science, reflecting decades of research and clinical expertise. The NRP Steering Committee intentionally partners with nurses, midwives, respiratory therapists, obstetricians and community-based health professionals in formulating the educational program to ensure its applicability to all team members responsible for caring for newborns at birth.

New Specialized Courses to Broaden your Expertise

As part of our commitment to expanding the reach of neonatal resuscitation education, we are introducing several new courses in 2025 that extend NRP beyond the delivery room as well as for special circumstances in the delivery room:

NRP Cardiac: This new online course is designed specifically for advanced NRP providers. This course is focused on equipping healthcare providers with the knowledge to care for newborns with congenital cardiac anomalies at birth. Coming Spring 2025.

Neonatal Education for Prehospital Professionals: This e-Learning course was created for prehospital professionals to build their knowledge and confidence in assessing and managing neonatal emergencies in the field. This course will complement the AAP’s Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) program. Coming Spring 2025.

Resuscitation in the NICU: This new hybrid learning course provides a deep dive into managing critical care situations in the NICU environment, including respiratory and cardiovascular compromise, cardiopulmonary arrest, and post-arrest care. Participants will also gain strategies to enhance team performance, ensuring improved coordination and communication during high-stakes events. Coming Fall 2025.

These specialized courses are designed to deepen your expertise and equip you to handle the most critical situations in a variety of environments.

NRP: The Gold Standard in Neonatal Resuscitation

For over 35 years, NRP has been recognized globally as the gold standard in neonatal resuscitation training. Its evidence-based curriculum, expert-developed guidelines, and robust focus on continuous improvement have made it the trusted choice for providers worldwide. With new updates and courses, NRP continues to lead the way in improving neonatal outcomes.
