About Our Disaster Recovery Fund
Disasters throw children and families into serious and sometimes dire need. You can help with a gift to the AAP Disaster Recovery Fund.
From earthquakes in Haiti, to tornados in Joplin, Missouri, to flooding in Texas, and to providing medicine and supplies for immigrant children at our southern border — AAP donations deliver hope for children and the pediatricians who care for them.
In 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti, causing hospitals, schools, and many homes to collapse.
Hundreds of lives were lost. 119,000 people were left without safe potable water. Thousands of families were displaced. The AAP Disaster Recovery Fund provided for a volunteer team to continue the recovery process, and bring aid to children in multiple communities.

A gift through your estate plan
You can include a gift to the Disaster Recovery Fund in your Will, stating that a certain dollar amount or percentage of your estate will pass to the AAP.
